Yasmin Petigara

Yasmin Petigara is the heart and soul of Mamalina’s. She holds two bachelor degrees from the University of Karachi, in Education and Home Economics, as well as an Association Montessori Internationale (AMI) Diploma and an Early Childhood Education Certificate. She also holds a First Aid Certificate from St John Ambulance.

Yasmin comes from a long line of educators. Her mother owned a private nursery school in Karachi catering to the educational needs of underprivileged children, promoting education as the key to better quality of life. Yasmin worked in the school for nine years. Prior to helping her mother run the family school, Yasmin taught for ten years in the private elementary school that she herself attended. She continues to live and work by the mantra of her mother; “Each one, teach one.”

Staff

Our teaching staff is comprised of qualified, trained, experienced and dedicated Early Childhood Educators, all screened by the Ministry of Public Safety.

In addition to formal training, a genuine love for the child, deep respect for his potential and a commitment to tailoring the program to cater to his all round developmental needs are the underlying requirements to join the team at Mamalina’s.

All staff have Montessori training and/or hold a diploma in Early Childhood Education, though some also hold university degrees. Our part-time staff also include certified Music teachers adding an important component to our student’s enriched and memorable experience at Mamalina’s!

Reading and writing are the keys which can disclose the immense reserves of human knowledge.
