Directress Yasmin Petigara established Mamalina’s Montessori Preschool and Childcare Centre in beautiful Deep Cove, North Vancouver, in 1994 and has been an essential and vibrant part of the community ever since. The bright and spacious centre is nestled between the mountains and the sea, beside Deep Cove Park.
At Mamalina’s we offer a well-balanced childcare program consisting of the primary Montessori curriculum with the option of the extended day for preschool aged children. We take pride in the stimulating environment we have caringly prepared for the children.
The Montessori concept of education forms the cornerstone of our institution and we are deeply committed to promoting it as we believe it allows children to experience the joy of learning at an early age in a prepared environment that fosters it. A Montessori education early in life leads to a greater enthusiasm and ease of learning in future, allowing a seamless transition into elementary school.
Mamalina’s is a member of the Montessori Association of BC, Early Childhood Educators of BC, and the North Shore Child Care Resource and Referral Centre.
